The Website is available for use by registered users only.  Passing Notes collects personal information from everyone who applies to become a registered user of the Website.  This may include your name, personal details, place of employment and contact information.  We may also collect information that you provide or submit on-line or by email, post, telephone or fax and information about your usage of the Website.

If you have an Author/Publisher contract with Passing Notes relating to the Website (or apply to become a contracted author), then Passing Notes will collect your personal information.   This may include your name, personal details, contact details, place of employment, employment history, information about work that you have previously published and a catalogue of your work that is published on Passing Notes.    Prior to entering into an Author/Publisher contract with you, we may collect personal information to assess your suitability.   If you provide referees to us, then you consent to Passing Notes obtaining personal information from those referees in relation to your employment or contract with them. 

How will we use your personal information?

We will use your personal information for internal purposes, to operate and manage the Website and to record and analyse usage of the Website.   

We will not provide your personal information to any third parties without your consent unless:

Any personal information that you provide to Passing Notes will be stored on a secure server.   The server is hosted and maintained by an external service provider, who is contracted to Passing Notes.  As the server is maintained and hosted by Passing Notes’ contractor, they may access your personal information.   However any such use will be for internal purposes only.

Passing Notes uses "cookie" technology to assist in identifying registered users so as to avoid them having to log-in manually each time they enter the Website. We do not use cookies to extract any personal information, provide any such information to third parties or contact you.
